Salamiou, as well as the surrounding areas are known for their microclimare which makes it ideal for growing grapes. Due to the cold winds that come from higher altitudes, such as Troodos, they benefit from colder nights and limited humidity. This allows the vineyards to have healthier grapes, usually without the use of pesticides. And grow grapes with more concentrated sugars and therefore, more flavor.
